As March arrives Educating Rita (Derby Theatre), Time and Time Again (Little Theatre), Oklahoma (Nottingham Arts Theatre), Touched (Playhouse), and Gang Show (Theatre Royal) will already be in full swing. Add to the mix opening night for Revolt, She Said, Revolt Again (New Theatre) and Ton of Bricks (Robin Hood Theatre) on the 2nd and What the Butler Saw (Curve Theatre) on the 3rd - you've got a great choice of theatrical entertainment as spring approaches.
The second week in March sees Hello, Dolly! (Duchess Theatre) opening on the 6th, Oklahoma! (Little Theatre) and Rock of Ages (Loughborough Town Hall) on the 7th, and The Nether (New Theatre) on the 8th.
Both 9 to 5: The Musical (Duchess Theatre) and Frankenstein (Loughborough Town Hall) open on the 14th with Anita & Me (Theatre Royal) featuring our very own Michelle Smith and Lucy Wakefield. Then on the 15th Female Transport (Little Theatre) and An Intervention (New Theatre) open before Betrayal (Derby Theatre) on the 17th.
Spring will be truly upon us when The Play That Goes Wrong (Curve Theatre) and The Weir (Little Theatre) open on the 20th. A visit to the Lace Market Theatre on the 22nd should not be missed as our youth theatre bring Terry Pratchett's Carpe Jugulum to life while Di and Viv and Rose (New Theatre) opens on the same night. Going Green (Duchess Theatre) opens on the 23rd to complete the week.
The final week in March sees Rent (Curve Theatre) and The Grapes of Wrath (Playhouse) featuring the Lace Market Theatre's Lucy Wakefield and Damian Frendo both opening on the 28th. Then The Crucible (Nottingham Arts Theatre) from our friends at the People's Theatre Company (including Chris Collins, Malcolm Todd, Nick Parvin, and Glenn Murphy) and Bad Jews (New Theatre) both open on the 29th.
