It tells the story of the trials and tribulations that beset David as he grows to adulthood, from his devoted mother and her ill advised marriage to Mr Murdstone, to settling down with his own wife. On the way we get to meet some of literatures greatest characters; Miss Betsy Trotwood, Miss Murdstone, Creackle, the Peggoty family, the Micawbers, and the oily Uriah Heep. A classic coming of age tale.
