by Frank Loesser & Abe Burrows
A satire of big business and all it holds sacred.
This show tracks the rise of J. Pierrepont-Finch in 1960’s corporate America.
Following the guidance of a little handbook called ‘How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying’, he climbs the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive.
On route, he has to tackle such familiar, but potent, dangers as; the aggressively compliant ‘company man’; the office party; backstabbing co-workers; caffeine addiction and, as happens in most good musical theatre, the added complication of true love.
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International on behalf of Josef Weinberger Ltd. www.mtishows.co.uk. www.josef-weinberger.com.
