Welcome to the 2019/20 Season

To put this year's programme together, we read hundreds of scripts and worked hard to try and find smething for everyone. A number of the plays havepremiered quite recently, and some have only just been released for amateur performance. So we hope you enjoy our selection of new and old, comedy and drama, with a couple of unusual pieces added to the mix. We very much appreciate your support.

This year sees one notable anniversary. The first ever play we presented at this theatre, back in January 1972, was Edward Elbee's 'A Delicate Balance' and so in October we're doing another Albee play, 'Three Tall Women', tp mark our 700th production at Halifax Place. It's a Pulitzer prize-winning play described by the NY Times as 'Albee's imaginative leap into difficult souls ... a comedy about decrepitude or a tragedy about survival, depending on how you look at it.' We're delighted to have been given the performance rights, not always readily awarded to amateur companies.
