by Phoebe Frances Brown
The Glad Game is Phoebe’s story; the story of finding yourself in the bleakest of moments and of discovering reasons, however small or silly, to be glad.
Growing up in Nottingham, acting defined Phoebe. By the age of 26 she is living and working in London, in pursuit of her dream; a career in acting. Just as things are starting to take off, with a role lined up at The National Theatre and a boyfriend who loves her, she is diagnosed with incurable brain cancer.
Phoebe’s story is raw and real. A one woman show of incredible strength and endurance in the face of adversity. She takes you on her journey with brutal honesty and sparkling humour. She will have you laughing and crying in equal measure. All good theatre pulls at a myriad of human emotions and in this piece, she does just that.
