by Ray Cooney
Henry Perkins has had a very interesting day.
He went to work, came home, and somewhere in between managed to acquire a briefcase stuffed with somebody else's money. Perfectly reasonable things happen after that. Dinner is
served, guests arrive, and absolutely nothing spirals catastrophically out of control.
Funny Money is Ray Cooney at his most devious: a masterclass in comic timing, mistaken identity, and the heroic human instinct to dig yourself deeper when you should really just stop digging.
It's the kind of play where every solution creates three new problems, every lie needs six more to prop it up, and the front door becomes the most terrifying object in the room.
Chaotic. Clever. Very, very funny.
Contains some mild adult humour.
