After our record breaking year at the box office, this summer’s improvements to the auditorium began. This must be one of the biggest projects undertaken since my time began at LMT.

First and foremost, I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped prepare for the refurbishment and those who were there to support the contractors during the work. I am pleased that all the contractors have worked with us to keep to the tight schedule we imposed.

As I write, the following work has been completed;

• All the wall panels have been replaced and painted
• LED, programable house lights have been fitted
• The carpet and step nosing is in place




The coming week will see the fitting of the new seating, which will complete this project.




Presently the plan is to open the theatre on Friday 7th September, from 2pm – 8pm for viewing the finished project. Please check date and times during the week.




Just when you thought it was all over... next summer, we plan to reconfigure and upgrade the foyer and stairs.




With the refurbishments of the toilets, kitchen, bar and now the auditorium, I’m sure you will agree that we can all be proud of our thriving theatre.
